home run
I bought these for my college age son who is not into designer jeans. They are a great fit, classic but updated as described, and he liked them. They also passed the test with his sister who wouldn't be caught dead in the wrong jeans. She loved them too.

Great pair of classic jeans
hard to beat a pair of 501 jeans. The waist fits true to a size 36. The legs were a bit long, but the denim is so soft that it was easy to hem myself.
